At Guru Nanak’s Mission, we believe no one should go hungry. Inspired by the Sikh principles of langar, we provide free meals to the homeless and vulnerable in Nottingham. Our goal is not only to alleviate hunger but also to create a sense of community and belonging.
GNM is based upon Sikh principles and the belief that serving others is a fundamental part of our faith. For centuries through langar, Sikhs have provided free meals to anyone in need. We continue this by offering hot meals to those in need, regardless of their background or circumstances.
GNM is made possible by the dedication of our volunteers as well as the generosity of our donors. Together, we are making a difference in the lives of homeless individuals in our city.
Food is at the heart of what we do, over the years we have collaborated with many organisations including Red Cross, Care for Calais, Nottingham Forest Community Trust, Notts County Foundation, Trent Bridge, Salvation Army all with the aim of helping those less fortunate in our community
